Description
The Republic of Moldova is at the final stage of preparing the procedures for the association to the Seventh Framework Programme. Starting with January 1, 2012 Moldovan researchers, NGOs, SMEs will be able to participate in FP7 under the status of an associated country. In this regard, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the National Contact Points Network organized on the 5 of September an Information Day with the participation of Dr. Martin PENNY, Policy Officer: S&T Relations with Russia, Eastern Europe, Central & South West Asia, DG Research and Innovation. The presentation of Mr. Penny focused mainly on new calls launched in July, practical advice concerning proposal writing, as well as new funding opportunities for Moldovan researchers and research organizations arising as a result of association to FP7. There were also presented success stories of participation in FP7 projects by three research groups from Moldova. To the event participated representatives of research community, business sector and civil society.
