DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the XVI National Conference of
  Astronomers of Serbia will be held in Belgrade\, from October 10 to 12\, 
 2011. The conference is organized by the Astronomical Observatory of Belgr
 ade together with the Department of Astronomy\, Faculty of Mathematics\, B
 elgrade and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Repu
 blic of Serbia.The conference sessions will include: invited talks present
 ed by local and international lecturers\, presentations of PhD and MSc the
 ses that have been completed within Serbia or abroad since the last confer
 ence (2008)\, contributed talks and posters. Contributions presented at th
 e Conference will cover a wide range of topics in astronomy and similar fi
 elds. The key topics are:1. Astrophysical spectroscopy and interferometry2
 . Stellar physics and physics of interstellar medium 3. Stellar and galact
 ic systems4. Astrometry\, dynamical astronomy and planetology5. Extragalac
 tic astronomy and cosmology6. Interdisciplinary studies (astrobiology\, as
 trochemistry\, geophysics\, atmospheric physics\, and space astronomy)7. H
 istory\, philosophy and teaching of astronomy8. Amateur astronomy\, sociol
 ogy of astronomy\, astronomy in arts and culture 9. Instrument robotizatio
 n and astroinformaticsA preliminary scientific program will be given in th
 e Second Announcement. An abstract book will be published before the Confe
 rence and proceedings volume shortly after the end of the Conference. The 
 registration form as well as information concerning the text formats and s
 tyles (for abstracts and papers) are provided on the official Conference w
